TEN QUESTIONS ONE BROKER: Scott Leggett

Scott and his wife Ann Leggett on a recent trip to Austin, Texas.

Most exciting part about being a managing broker at Slifer Denver:  Working with the BEST group of people in the real estate industry in Denver.  Our office is fun, exciting and very productive, just like the team that comprises Slifer Smith & Frampton Denver.

Super-power you’d want for a day:  Time travel, but I guess by definition that would last longer than a day right?  I would just never come back to day it expires.

To be a good leader:  I have to listen.

What do you do on your free time:  What free time?  I enjoy paddle boarding with my wife Ann, driving fast cars, tinkering with cars and walking my dogs.  Golf has slipped from the list lately but will return with a vengeance soon.

Name one thing we might not know about you:  I have thirteen toes.  Just kidding.  In high school I really wanted to fly F-15s, so I went to the Air Force Academy.  For one week.  After the nice buzz haircut and getting ally shots up to date I decided that I didn’t want to fly quite that badly.  I left an have never looked back. I did rock a nice military style flat top haircut for a while ten years ago.

What’s the Slifer Denver culture like:  It starts with fun.  Mix in professional, competent, confident, caring, giving, sharing, helping, and driven and you pretty much have it.

We hear you’re working on designing your dream house… Tell us more.  Well, it all starts with the stilts.  Our lot is very close to Boulder Creek, about 50 feet away, and therefore is in the flood plain.  The only way to build there is to elevate the house at least four feet, so I’m thinking six would about right.  It will make for an interesting look with house floating over the four to five foot tall prairie grass.  The best part about the house is the architect we’re working with, our son Nic.  He’s an incredible designer and we are having lots of fun stirring around different ideas and looks.  It will be very unique, I guarantee that.

And never be afraid…  To ask for it.  The worst they can say is no.

Give us the Insider on some of your health tips you incorporate in your healthy lifestyle:  I’m adamant about taking my supplements every morning and I’ve recently added Greens First which is full of anti-oxidants and is a pH balancer, helping to make my body more alkaline. 

Summer real estate market...  Your take on why Denver is so hot this year: There is still a substantial lack of inventory and an abundance of buyers, seemingly across all price points this summer.  The combination is a recipe for quickly rising prices.
