Five Questions, One Broker: Scott Leggett
Scott Leggett, Managing Broker, Slifer — Denver
Name one thing we might not know about you. I learned to ski in Germany and Austria in the 1960’s. My dad was in the Air Force, stationed near Frankfurt Germany from 1965-1968. We had lived in Colorado Springs before that, but never skied until the move to Germany. It was wonderful spending a week at a time at Berchtesgaden, Garmisch, or the Zugspitze.
Name one thing on your 2018 bucket list: Ski Crested Butte. I skied there a lot in the 1970’s and lived there during the winter of 1976-77, a notoriously dry winter (at least until the spring storms came). I have only skied there a handful of times since and it has been more than a decade now. I have lots of fond memories and can’t wait to ski the North Face again.
What’s your go-to spot in Denver? Brewery Bar II for lunch. I love their chile rellenos smothered with hot green chile (best in the city!) and always pair them with a Coors Banquet (of course). It started as our go-to Friday afternoon spot in the early 80’s and is still a favorite.
What’s the best new restaurant you’ve tried lately? Tavernetta. They have a great menu with a very nice variety, and the food is prepared perfectly! Plus, the restaurant has a great vibe and an incredible wait staff.
What are you the most excited about in life right now? Growing Slifer, Smith & Frampton — Denver! It’s a lot of fun searching for wonderful people that fit into our fun and friendly team.
