It's Time for Fireworks!

It’s time to celebrate!

The Fourth of July is just around the corner and with it comes a myriad of ways to celebrate around the city. Here are a few of our favorites:

Monday, July 2

Head over to Four Mile Historic Park for an Old-Fashioned July 4th Celebration. From 5-10pm, they’ll have games, historic demonstrations, live music, wagon rides (horse-drawn, even!), food trucks, and a beer garden. This is also a great spot to catch Glendale’s fireworks show, which starts at dusk at E. Virginia Avenue & S. Cherry Street.

Tuesday, July 3

Stop by the patio at Union Station from 1-10pm for the Stars & Stripes Express Fest, complete with food and drink specials and live music from 60s, 70s, 80, 90s, and today’s tribute bands.

Then, head over to Civic Center Park for the annual Independence Eve Celebration. Starting at 4pm, there will be food trucks and beer/wine gardens throughout the park, and from 8-10pm, they’ll have live music, a lights show, and fireworks over the park.

Plus, the Rockies post-game fireworks show will start after their 6:10pm game against the San Francisco Giants. Looking for a great viewing spot? Try Avanti.

Wednesday, July 4

The Highland Neighborhood is hosting their annual 4th of July Celebration, including a parade, live music, dancing, games, a pie competition, and a giant 200-foot-long sundae from Little Man Ice Cream. The parade starts at 9:30am and goes from 32nd Avenue and Clay Street down to Hershorn Park.

Speaking of parades, there’s one in Stapleton at 9am, Observatory Park at 10am, and Park Hill at 1:30pm. The Park Hill parade ends at the Kearney Street Fair around 3pm, where there will be live music, food, activities, and more.

Elitch Gardens will kick off their fireworks show when the park closes at 9pm. Commons Park (right here in Riverfront Park) is the perfect spot to catch these ones. If you want to be a little higher up, 54thirty is a great option too, and they’ll have outdoor games, BBQ, and cocktail specials to boot.

There’s another Rockies post-game fireworks show this night, too, starting after their 6:10pm game against the Giants. And, just across I-25, the Denver Outlaws post-game fireworks will start after their 7:00pm game against the Boston Cannons.

And, if you want to venture a little farther out, fireworks shows are happening all over the area this day, from Arvada to Black HawkBoulder to Golden, and so much more.

No matter how or where you celebrate, we hope you have a very happy 4th!
